I made my first silver print (I would then have said black and white print) in a small darkroom in Libya. The temperature in the darkroom often rose to the high 30°c. Not ideal, but I was immediately enthralled. It was the 1950s and I was doing my National Service. Photography was about to enter my life!
The silver print has remained my chosen and primary means of expression. The exploration of it's subtlety and tonal richness a constant source of pleasure and fascination.
In the sixty years since then I have made and accumulated many prints. It is these prints, my personal collection, that I now offer for sale. All are made by me, are archivally processed and selenium or gold toned, many on materials that are no longer available.
NONE WILL BE PRINTED AGAIN
I will launch each set of prints in collections over the next few months. Sizes and numbers available will vary.
